Following this public announcement from a member of the Insomniac Games team, there is still some turmoil in the development of Marvel’s Wolverine. Worrying?
The leaks about Marvel’s Wolverine unfortunately started again last month. Three videos hosted on the Internet show the mutant’s movements in the principality of Madripoor, his escape from the Weapon X installation or even a flashback in which Logan and Mystique have a drink. Despite this event that has disoriented the teams, the studio is sticking to its course, but has lost another important element.
Marvel’s Wolverine roster is still reduced
Marvel’s Wolverine will provide news in due course. “We will share news [sur Marvel’s Wolverine] when the time is right and not now” Insomniac Games explained to an Internet user last May. So there’s no point in going to the developers to look for information, it’s useless, apart from hindering them in their work. But we still have indirect news about the game with the announcement of a departure, namely that of Mary Kenney, who co-wrote the story of Marvel’s Wolverine.
“Without further ado, it’s time to announce my new job! Today was my first role as a senior writer at CD Projekt Red. The studio known for The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077. I can’t wait to talk more about my project, but I’m excited to return to an RPG. My team is talented, warm, and just plain cool. On to a new adventure » said the co-writer of Marvel’s Wolverine.
Going back through her X-posts, Mary Kenney was not part of the PlayStation layoff wave and thus took a new opportunity at CD Projekt Red. Is this concerning for Marvel’s Wolverine? Obviously, it’s a significant loss, especially since she spent five years at Insomniac Games. However, since the story has been wrapped up for some time, the impact will likely be minimal. It remains to be seen if the title will need to be rewritten and who will do it if so. Aaron Habibipour, art director, also landed at CD Projekt Red.
