Starting in January, the year got off to a flying start in terms of releases and it didn’t slow down in February, especially with the highly anticipated release of Hogwarts Legacy, which we can automatically rank as one of the greatest hits of 2023. And that doesn’t count the release of PSVR 2 and its 40 games.
No really, after a bit of a shy 2021 and 2022, it looks like all the big shots will be fired this year. We won’t complain.

publications from the last few months
We present the biggest games of March 2023
As usual, here are a handful of the big titles expected for this month of March 2023. Obviously, a whole host of more intimate games are expected, and some big games will also be entitled to nice updates. This is the case, for example, with The Sims 4, which will soon receive a large DLC. The latter is also accompanied by a major free update that brings a feature long-awaited by fans. Dead Cells will also be entitled to a new DLC. A crossover with one of the most iconic licenses in video game history, just that.
And you, what are you planning to play in March?
Wo Long: The Fallen Dynasty
March 3rd – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series
While the studio is known for its Ninja Gaiden series, Team Ninja came back in great shape nioh, a very Japanese souls-like that cleverly mixes challenging difficulty with beat’em all. The studio is now returning Where long fallen dynasty. An ambitious title that seeks to take up the main lines of what was established with Nioh, transferring it to a somewhat fantasized feudal China. Where to go aims to be a particularly dynamic title with challenging and impactful gameplay that can be played alone or in co-op.
Have a nice death
March 8th – PC / March 22nd – Switch
After a very nice Unruly Heroes, the studio Magic Design Studios is back with a new Metroidvania that is also very reminiscent of a certain Hollow Knight. In Have a nice death, we play an agent of death who is supposed to mow down souls. Metro, work, sleep and sickle blows. But obviously our little hero quickly becomes involved in a somewhat more complex quest. The game relies on a particularly relaxed atmosphere and an artistic direction that announces it very, very well.
Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
March 9th – PS5, PC, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series
Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a remaster of the game originally released for Wii in 2008. The game puts us in the shoes of a young girl who goes in search of several of her missing friends in a somewhat mysterious region that is creepy . On site, she will not only discover dark secrets, but above all that the place is actually haunted by a whole bunch of ghosts. Armed with a simple camera to capture them, our heroine will do whatever it takes to lift the veil on her comrades’ disappearance.
Bleak Faith: Abandoned
March 10 – PC
Bleak Faith: Forsaken is the crazy project of a small group of developers aiming to create a game at the crossroads of genres. Mixture of open world connected to the Elder Ringin a post-apocalyptic universe, all immersed in a terrifying atmosphere that oscillates in between resident Evil etc bloodborne. A seductive melting pot on paper that has yet to prove itself. Stupid belief definitely promises a truly hardcore experience, where every choice is irreversible and where managing our resources is as important as our ability to face the worst horrors and ultra-violent bosses that will stand in our way. A whole program.
The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR
March 16th – PSVR 2
Sold as one of the most terrifying experiences to come The Dark Pictures Switchback, from the fathers of Until Dawn, who had already made a game of this kind on PSVR 1. If the title has been talked about a lot since its announcement, it’s mainly because it intends to utilize ALL the technologies that the PSVR 2 headset gamers are freaking out about. Everything down to the eye tracking that will be able to spawn stacks of monsters when you blink. Sensitive hearts abstain.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon
March 17 – Toggle
After a successful Bayonetta 3 and an award at the Game Awards 2022, PlatinumGames is putting its license back in the spotlight with Bayonetta Origins. An action-adventure game completely different from the canonical works of the franchise. There are no sexy poses or epic fights here, but a more intimate and poetic gameplay reminiscent of children’s stories. We will follow our Bayonetta who is still a young girl aspiring to become a witch herself. She is also accompanied by her very first demon. The latter can fight alongside the little girl, but also help her solve the puzzles that will come their way. A first chapter of this March 2023 release is already available as an in-game bonus in bayonet 3if ever.
The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners 2
March 21 – PCVR, PSVR 2
After a fairly appreciated first installment, despite its few flaws upon release, The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners 2: Retribution (to give the full name) intends to raise the bar in terms of action, horror and immersion. While the gameplay seems to be close to what the first game offered, many innovations are expected, including new weapons and game mechanics. It will always be about survival and horror, but the game also seems to offer more action sequences, in particular a veritable horde of dilapidated zombies or very tough armed clashes.
Resident Evil 4 Remake
March 24th – PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series
This is definitely one of the most anticipated games in March 2023. Resident Evil 4 Remake is one of those who want to bring forward survival games like Dead Space Remake or The Callisto Protocol. Well, in that case, this isn’t Capcom’s first remake since Resident Evil 4 Remake The following are the first three episodes, which also had their own remake. In this new opus we’ll find good old Leon S. Kennedy, lost in the middle of the European countryside in search of the daughter of the President of the United States. The rest, we know, will fall apart and face a whole host of horrors. A cult game from 2005 that wants to do it again in 2023. In any case, we really want to believe it. We also learned that at the last State of Play Resident Evil 4 Remake would soon have the right to a demo shortly before its release.
Terra Nile
March 28 – PC, Mobile
A little breath of fresh air, published by Devolver Digital, Terra Nil is a management game, a bit like a puzzle game, completely inverted. The aim is not to colonize and conquer entire planets, but on the contrary to rebuild completely sterile worlds. It will be necessary to use our logic and a whole lot of futuristic technology to get used to it and then clean the area and clean everything behind you. A very relaxed game with an obvious green message and addictive gameplay. At least that was the case with the demo, now it remains to be seen whether the game can convince across the board.
Crime boss: Rockay City
March 28 – PC
Big American stars, a movie atmosphere of the 80’s and 90’s, guns and above all Chuck Norris await you in Crime Boss Rockay City, a first-person shooter that already promises to be explosive. This isn’t about maintaining order, it’s about circumventing the law and getting involved in some illegal business. The goal? money and power. The American dream in all its glory. crime boss hasn’t really shown since its announcement, but from what little we know the game will be mostly cooperative, offering missions that come close to what could be done payday 2 in his time.
