The Apex Legends will be back in January as the two-week Grand Soirée arcade event will start shortly. The starting shot is to be fired on January 14th, then Respawn promises "Chaos at its finest" until January 28th.
With the dress code "Formal Skins" you can take part in the skipped event, with the game modes changing every two days. Included are "armed and dangerous", but also some exotic novelties. As usual, the whole thing is accompanied by rewards and the opportunity to purchase cosmetic art deco-inspired objects and outfits in the event shop.
You can watch a first trailer for the new event below. Below is an official overview of all planned activities:
- Seven rotating limited modes: Players experience a new time-limited mode every two days with popular classics like "Armed and Dangerous" and new modes like "DUMMIE's Big Day". Each time-limited mode offers three new challenges with a total value of 1,000 points.
- Event Reward Chain: This new system gives players more rewards and even more ways to get them. Players complete various challenges to earn arcade points and receive increasingly prestigious rewards as the event progresses.
- Bonus points weekend: From January 17th to 20th, players can grab an additional set of event-specific challenges totaling 500 points.
- Swoop Event Store: In addition to legendary skins, players can also buy cosmetic, art deco-inspired items. In addition, the standard loot pool is expanded to include six new legendary skins that can be made and are included in Apex packs. They are also available as direct purchases.
