One of Respawn Entertainment's original developers, Drew McCoy, is parting ways with the studio.
McCoy has recently been the company's executive producer and has been with Respawn since the studio was founded in 2010. According to a post on Twitter, he left the studio to "discover new challenges."
"Today is the start of a new adventure for me. I will cherish the past ten years that I have helped launch Respawn and release some great games with awesome people," McCoy wrote on Twitter. "I will miss people the most-everyday arguments, successes, failures, and everything in between."
"For those who asked, I decided that after ten years (or 14 years if IW days are counted), it's time to take a break and look for new challenges."
For everyone who has played our game, I sincerely thank you. Not sure where I am going, but rest assured, I cannot stay away from the game for a long time!
Excellent for each other

McCoy's resume is packed with AAA titles, from Titanfall and Titanfall 2 to Apex Legends. Prior to joining Respawn, he worked for four years at Infinity Ward, the developer of Call of Duty.
The studio is very busy these days, working on many projects, including the evolving Apex Legends, the new, albeit delayed, Titanfal game, the Medal of Honor FPS VR game for Oculus, and Jedi: Fallen Order 2.
As we reported earlier this week, with the launch of the Grand Soiree event, Apex Legends saw a 12% (MoM) increase in active users on gaming consoles in January, but compared to December, the game generated revenue less.
