Apex Legends: New season: upheaval is approaching – that’s what’s in it!

The new season called “Upheaval” is just around the corner in Apex Legends. Now the developers have given an overview of what awaits you.

In the new week, the new season “Upheaval” in the long-running battle royale Apex Legends starts on May 7th. Electornic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment have now given an overview of what to expect – and are also showing the first gameplay.

Of course, the focus is primarily on the new legend called Alter, the epitome of discontinuity. This new character will have the following abilities:

• Her passive ability, Gift of the Portal, drops an item from distant Death Chests and is great for weapon swapping or a surprise shield battery.

• Alter’s tactical ability, Void Passage, creates a portal that opens a passageway to send enemies back to the respawn chamber or provide a quick escape.

• Activating Alter’s ultimate ability, Void Nexus, places a device that anyone on her team can use to open a one-way portal back to the location.

In terms of game mode, the Solos takeover will be introduced, replacing Duos at the start of the new season. In short: In the future, you will be completely on your own and will no longer have a team member at your side.

The other content of the new season at a glance:

• Destroyed moon in ruins – A lunar nightmare becomes reality when Olympus crashes into Cleo’s stasis node, reshaping the battlefield with new POIs and a revamped map perfect for wreaking havoc.

• Apex Artifacts – Legends can customize each variant’s theme, as well as power source and more with exotic shards. By mixing and matching the shards, players can create their own calling cards of destruction.
