To find out, we entered the “Apex Heroes: Escape” update and messed up the CAR to understand its practical use in the intense game of Storm Point. Is it the Ferrari of SMG, or the Vauxhall Astra that your father beat? Let us find out!
How good is CAR SMG without attachments?
CAR SMG can use light and heavy ammunition, which is a very useful feature when dealing with its basic 20-round magazine and high rate of fire. In the early game battles that other players often flock to, you consume ammunition at an alarming rate. Being able to use both types of ammunition helps to solve big problems that other SMGs usually find difficult to solve.
Switching the ammunition type does require a reload of the style of animation, which takes slightly longer than the standard reload. This means that if you are engaged in a firefight, you can switch between ammunition types without being caught and helpless.
As you would expect from SMG, the base recoil is quite high, and the upward recoil pattern swings slightly to the left. Even without a buttstock or barrel stabilizer, it is not difficult to control this. Whether you are aiming at the target or shooting from your hips, it is not difficult to destroy the enemy’s armor.
What is the best accessory for CAR in Apex Legends?
CAR SMG has connection slots for magazines, sights, barrel stabilizers and butt stocks. The advantage of CAR is that you can equip a heavy or light ammunition depot, and no matter what ammunition you use, the extra ammunition capacity will apply to that gun-so you don’t have to choose a specific ammunition type game later. It can also help you prepare for the early battles that SMG excels at.
The magazine upgrade increases the ammunition capacity to 22 rounds of ordinary attachments/24 rounds of rare attachments/27 rounds of epic and legendary attachments. Needless to say, more bullets in the magazine will help you knock down the enemy without having to switch to other weapons.
This leads to the main weakness of CAR, which is the damage per shot. Each shot of CAR SMG causes 13 points of damage to the body, 20 points of damage to the head, and 10 points of damage to the legs. Therefore, you need to hit the vast majority of bullets to destroy a heavily armed opponent. This idea seems to be due to the unique quirks of CAR, you will be able to get upgrades and a large amount of ammunition as early as possible to help overcome this shortcoming, but in fact you may reload in battle.
For the same reason, accessories that help control recoil (such as barrel stabilizers and butt stocks) have become very important for CAR. The name of the game is to grab CAR’s attachments as soon as possible to avoid disaster.
The fully upgraded car is paint
The fully upgraded CAR SMG can melt people. It is a versatile alternative to other SMGs such as R-99. It kills faster than Prowler PDW or Volt in busy close combat. The only SMG you give up is the alternator, which is a monster gun that turned into a pod weapon this season, but otherwise, CAR will treat you well.
Pair it with a shared ammunition type assault rifle, LMG or sniper (to prevent three different types of ammunition from clogging your inventory). Or, if you are one of those freaks who can keep headshots from miles away, choose Wingman.
