Respawn Entertainment is apparently doing a lot right at the moment. Not only is Apex Legends as popular as ever, no, new player records are set with each season.
Whether it’s because there aren’t that many action games coming onto the market at the moment, or because well-known shooters like Battlefield and Call of Duty are currently weakening – no one knows. Maybe Respawn Entertainment is just doing everything right at the moment.
With the launch of the new Season 13 this week, Apex Legends has repeated what worked for Season 12. Another record was broken on Steam. While the number of simultaneous players on Steam increased from 330,000 to 390,000 in February, this number was broken again with the launch of Season 13 – 410,000 simultaneous players were recorded on Wednesday.
So the chances are not bad that the value will be exceeded again at the weekend, because most players are usually on the road on Saturdays and Sundays. Apex Legends is also looking good on the streaming portals. The game is close to overtaking top dog Fortnite on Twitch, Facebook and YouTube.
Accordingly, Respawn Entertainment should not have to worry about the launch of the mobile version on May 17th.
