Respawn Entertainment is kicking off the next event in Apex Legends, which will bring with it a fresh new game mode. Here’s how it works and what else you can expect!
Those who remain loyal to the long-standing battle royale title Apex Legends can look forward to the next in-game event. This is called Space Hunt and has now been announced by Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment for September 17, 2024; the event will then run for a few weeks until October 8.
The focus is on a new game mode, namely the time-limited Knockout mode. This is an objective-based mode in which squads must conquer certain objectives and collect Evo in order to earn points. The five teams with the fewest points are eliminated at the end of each round.
As part of weekly challenges, you also have the opportunity to permanently unlock two key legends, Crypto and Wattson. Those who complete both sets of unique legend challenges will receive an additional epic plaque.
Otherwise, the event brings with it 36 cosmetic bounty hunter items. You can exchange bounty cash in the rewards shop, where you can also choose from two Epic+ skins for Havoc and Prowler. The offer is rounded off by a new cosmetic melee item: the Serpent Stinger.
