In Apex Legends: Salvation you also get a new legend. Now Respawn has presented Newcastle and its capabilities in more detail – trailer included.
A protector of the weak and the champion of Harris Valley, Newcastle makes his debut in Apex Legends: Salvation – the next major update to the battle royale hit. But who is the man behind the mask and what is he capable of? The creators of Respawn have now gone into more detail about the skills and are also showing them in action in a trailer.
As defenders of their small town, Newcastle tend to have a more defensive style of play, but their participation in the Apex Games is their biggest challenge to date when it comes to keeping Harris Valley residents safe. Debuting as the 21st Legend next week, his skills show why the best attack is often a strong defence.
Specifically, Newcastle can fall back on the following skills:
- Passive – “Recover Wounded”: With his revive shield on his wrist, Newcastle can shield himself and his squadmates from fire while reviving allies and guiding them to safety.
- Tactical – “Mobile Shield”: Newcastle activates a floating energy shield that adapts to the changing fronts of the battlefield as it advances, secures retreat, or repels a sudden attack from the side.
- Ultimate – “Castle Wall”: Newcastle pulls his signature shield from his back, jumps into the action and slams it to the ground. This activates the construction of a powerful fortress.
Apex Legends: Salvation is coming May 10th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Origin and Steam.
