The next big update for Apex Legends called “Origin” was officially presented yesterday evening. We’ll tell you here what exactly you can expect.
On August 3, 2021, the global go-ahead for the next big update of the long-running battle royale Apex Legends will be given. Then Respawn Entertainment will provide “Origin” including new content. Among other things, the new legend Seer is on board.
Seer is described as a “powerful new legend” by Game Director Chad Grenier. He is given new ways to track down and hunt enemies – even through walls. You can get more impressions in the new trailer for the update below.
This also introduces ranking arenas. A new 3-on-3 competition mode is therefore on board and lets you improve your rank through successful games. So you can present your skill value – for example bronze, silver or gold up to Predator – and put your strength to the test thanks to a rating score when looking for players against equal opponents. Last but not least, year 2 of the Apex Legends Global Series also starts. The prize pool will now be increased to $ 5 million. Cross-play between Xbox and PlayStation is supported and there will be a Pro League and Challenger Circuit events.
Apex Legends: Creation will be released on August 3rd for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Origin and Steam.
