Apple’s App Store Hiccups: Temporarily unable to connect

“Unable to connect to the App Store,” it said – apparently for everyone who wanted to use the App Store on Monday evening after 8 p.m. The hiccups stopped quickly.

As quickly as the disruption arose, it ended just as quickly: the cause is not yet known, but we can definitely announce the end.

The problem has existed since around 8 p.m. and it rains in our error message for the App Store reports. But unplanned downtime is also an issue on the relevant social media platforms:

As evidenced by this user of the service from North Carolina in the United States, the problem appears to be global. Apple will surely respond soon. As soon as we learn a reason for the disruption or the problem is fixed, we will update this news.
