As Venom: The Last Dance’s October 25th release date approaches, fans are starting to wonder what’s going on with Noel as the main villain, and whether this version of Eddie Brock and the symbiote will be paired with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man crosses over. Tom Hardy, meanwhile, comes off as shy but forward.
Through the comic book movie, we get the latest answers about the protagonist’s possible crossover into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (616). Long story short: He’s tight-lipped, but there’s reason to be optimistic.

“You know… you know, there’s always the possibility… I can’t possibly say anything because it’s the last movie. Yeah, I would have loved it,” he said in a fan/ said the original clip from the press conference in Mexico. Coupled with writer-director Kelly Marcel’s comments about Noel’s larger role going forward, it’s hard not to start imagining the possibility of Venom and Spider-Man colliding and then working together to take on a potential multi-faceted threat. Hardy seemed open to the idea, and some might even think his response was cheeky.
Recent rumors indicate that Spider-Man 4 (working title) will abandon the street-level storyline featuring Daredevil and Wilson Fisk and instead take advantage of the possibilities offered by the Marvel Universe’s larger multiverse saga. Do more. Since Knull is such a huge threat, it would be a waste not to include Spider-Man in the fight against him. That said, many fans are hoping to see a “smaller-scale” movie after the “back to basics” end of No Way Home.
But wait, didn’t Eddie and Venom already visit 616 due to Doctor Strange’s spell, and left behind some symbiote goo that might tease Spider-Man’s symbiote suit? Yes, but there are plenty of ways to bring Venom back, especially knowing that everything else in Sony Pictures’ Spider-Verse is falling apart without Spider-Man. Do you really want to watch a bunch of Spider-Man-adjacent secondary characters and villains take on the symbiote god? I personally don’t like it, so please give me the MCU option.
We may have a clearer idea of what happens next when Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters next week. Its early box office projections are looking promising at the moment, but we’ve yet to see the rave reviews and how that will impact its November box office performance.
