In fact, a user named Darko P is creating a mod for Fallout New Vegas using RTX Remix technology. The latter was presented during a conference organized by Nvidia. In short, it allows you to remaster old games to give them a second wind. And it is accessible to everyone as it comes in the form of a free modding platform. On paper it is therefore an interesting project that allows us to pay homage to Fallout New Vegas. There’s just one small problem. You quickly notice this when you watch the video. Yes, it lags, it runs at less than 20 fps. Let’s say that ray tracing has a big impact on fluidity, and that hurts. If we fix this nasty bug, the mod still proves to be quite promising (let’s be optimistic). If it could fix this major flaw, we would have something that could easily help us wait until a real remaster is announced. When it becomes reality at some point.
At the moment there is simply no release date for this mod, which is soberly called “Fallout: New Vegas RTX Remix Mod”.
