Ark 2 delayed until 2024 “to improve final product and team wellbeing”

Ark: Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard has been delayed ark 2the sequel to the dinosaur ride survival game.

Announced during The Game Awards 2020, Starring Vin Diesel as a fully rendered heroic protagonist Santiago, and the announced EP for Ark: The Animated Series, his character will crossover from the video game. Diesel was also an executive producer on Ark 2 and served as the game’s president of creative fusion.

We’ll have to wait a little longer to see what the game has in store for us, as Studio Wildcard has delayed the sequel by a year to the end of 2024. In a community post, the developer said the delay was due to “improvement of the final product and the well-being of the team.”

“Our goal is to make Ark 2 the best game it can be, and provide players with a truly remarkable and rewarding experience,” said Studio Wildcard. “Unreal Engine 5 is an incredible new technology for us and all developers, so our goal was to harness the full potential of this cutting-edge technology while creating a game like never before.

“As we learned more about the engine and developed the sequel, we adjusted our workflow and adjusted our pipeline to fit this new next-gen paradigm, and we needed more time to develop because of everything involved.

“We apologize for the delay and sincerely appreciate your understanding.”

The studio went on to say that it does not intend to show any Ark 2 gameplay, screenshots, or videos this year; however, it intends to keep everyone informed by sharing assets in the months leading up to the full gameplay reveal next year .

The game is in development for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and will feature cross-platform mods, cross-platform multiplayer, and a new account system.
