Shadowmane Is a new type of creature introduced in the game Genesis: Part 2, The last piece of the DLC Ark: Survival Evolved.
Not only do these majestic dinosaurs look cool, but when they are tamed, they are very useful as vehicles and for offensive roles in battle.
How to tame the Mane of Shadow in Ark Genesis 2
A unique non-violent method is required to tame the Shadow Mane.
In order to put Shadowmane aside, the main item you need is a fish basket containing any fish weighing 0.5 or more and equip it to the last slot of your hot bar. Ideally, you will have more than one of this item, because taming needs to be repeated several times.
(Optional extras include a set of Ghillie Armor to reduce the chance of Shadowmane detecting you, and some insect repellent to prevent insects from interfering with your attempts. But the only thing you need is a fish basket.)
Although your approach is friendly, Shadowmane is an aggressive creature, so it’s important to approach it at noon when the creature is asleep.
Approach from the side or from behind. If you accidentally wake it up, please run away and try again after it settles down. It is also recommended to approach a lonely Shadowmane, as they will wake up any nearby members if they are angered.
Feeding the sleeping Shadowmane-yes, it should be able to eat during sleep-will cause it to become invisible and wander elsewhere. Use the Taming tracker to track it, but be sure to stay away, because when it breaks invisibility and finds a new place to settle, you don’t want to be within hatred distance.
Awakening the sleeping Shadowmane without a successful feeding will cause all taming progress to be reset. However, being attacked by Shadowmane when it has awakened will not reset your progress.
