Gaming News ArmA Reforger: Just Announced, Xbox Exclusive is Available!
We expected it a bit, but the news finally broke. The new ArmA, called ArmA Reforger, has just been made official… And a little last-minute surprise: it’s already playable.
Towards a new identity for the saga
For a few hours, many leaks have indicated the arrival of a certain ArmA Reforger. Today the title was made official. In fact, it was during the Enfusion Showcase, an event dedicated to the brand new Enfusion Engine, that ArmA Reforger deigned to show the tip of his nose. And as you can see from the first trailer available above, the title obviously uses this brand new engine developed by Bohemia Interactive. The goal here is to give a nice facelift to a series that needed it by offering more detailed and realistic graphics. an artistic direction that particularly emphasizes the violence of the Cold War confrontations.
In Arma Reforger you must establish dominance on a 51 km2 island with incredible topography and terrain. Thanks to its new enfusion engine, you will find the authenticity of the Cold War again. (…) Rediscover familiar locations from ArmA: Cold War Assault and let yourself be carried away by the natural beauty of a gigantic, breathtaking open world: pine forests or deciduous forests, rivers, ponds, idyllic cities and austere mountains, all surrounded by pebbly beaches and rugged ones Coastal.
To reinforce this realistic aspect, ArmA Reforger also includes a day/night cycle and dynamic weather, but that’s not all. This new episode – described as the first step towards ArmA 4 – also shows a new mentality. Compared to its ancestors, which were defined as military simulations, the new production is more accessible and also more fun to reach a wider audience. It is for this reason that it enters the consoles, namely the Xbox Series X | S as a temporary console exclusive.
A little surprise!
Since then, fans of the video game saga have been in for a little surprise ArmA Reforger is already available in its Early Access version on Steam, but also on Xbox Series X|S via the Game Preview program. Everything is sold for $29.99 and is even free to play thanks to a free trial.
This Early Access offers players two game modes: Conflict and Gamemaster. The first looks more or less like a “conquest zone” but on a very large map and the second looks like a gigantic sandbox. It allows players to create their own missions, just that.
