Armored Core 6: Rubicon Fire The story trailer is here, and yes, it’s as vague and impressive as other FromSoftware trailers like it.
Want to know what’s going on in Armored Core 6: Rubicon Fire? Me too! The story trailer doesn’t help much with that, but gosh, it looks pretty cool. “The reality of making money on Rubicon 3 is fraught with danger, especially when Handler Walter is involved,” reads the press release for the latest trailer. “Watch Walter’s Hounds carry out their mission with relentless tenacity, and learn about the events that will lead Armored Core 6 to begin.” Essentially, this trailer sounds like a prologue to the game, and the CGI trailer similar to Elden Ring doesn’t actually appear in the game either.
The trailer mainly tells about the missions participated by pilots numbered 617 to 620. It’s all pretty intense, with ensembles of mechs flying around the battlefield, battling enemies much larger than they are, while they try to destroy what appears to be some sort of superweapon. On the face of it, the story ends with everyone dead (rest in peace), and you, pilot C4-621, given a “reason for existing”. Or in other words, puts you in a mech suit.
If CGI trailers aren’t your thing, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered, because last month FromSoftware and Bandai Namco released a gameplay trailer showing the game’s actual combat. The trailer also shows off what it’s like to actually build the mech suit, showing you just how detailed you can get.
With just over a month until the game’s release, the full game will be released on August 25th, and you’ll be able to get the game on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
