Good news, sweaty mech pilots, Armored Core 6 will be ranked in online matches as part of tomorrow’s update, so you can take on some poor fools over the Christmas period.
Yes, FromSoft will release patch 1.05 for the game on December 19th, and it will feature online ranked play with some sort of leaderboard that you can climb up, assuming your tank build is still as effective as you remember it . That said, if you’re in the mood to try out different configurations, you’re in luck, too.

While we haven’t gotten a full description of the patch yet, we do know what its main highlights will be, with a new online ranked section being accompanied by some “new AC parts” and “new PVP maps.” So at least you’ll have something to do while you put off jumping into battle and being humiliated by a guy who spent years mastering SpongeBob’s mecha.
Speaking of interesting designs, there’s also some good news for those who like a bit of customization, the update adds “personalization nameplates” to the game, which might let you make your friend Bob’s plate-slapping mecha Version of his BMW says “B08S RYD”.
