Helldivers 2 were a little late to victory in the game’s latest major order, but they still got the job done, and Arrowhead has decided to reward this fortitude in the face of an army of automatons by making one of the out-of-game armor pieces free for now.
Yes, while some divers have been a bit distracted lately with potential War Bond leaks and cool fails, the collective forces still managed to convince Arrowhead to give them a nice gift. You love seeing it.

If you’re not up to date, in the latest MO, people are asked to press on after successfully splitting an automaton force in half down the middle, like a drunk person trying to split in half at a party. This requires the Divers to secure three planets, all of which begin with Ch – Charon Prime, Charbal VII, and Choepessa IV.
Jopesa IV eventually became the last planet to be captured, and shortly before the MO time expired, which was a relief to those who had been trying to put pressure on the Super Earth forces in the days leading up to the victory.
“With less than 1% of the primary command remaining – and only 43 minutes left of a total of 72 hours – the Hellstalkers successfully wrested control of Choepessa IV from the Socialist Automata,” Arrowhead community manager Miitchimus wrote in the Galactic Wars update following the success. “This display of resolve and courage shows that one should never underestimate the efficiency and courage of the Hellstalkers when Liberty comes calling. Being ‘toasted’ is something that only a toaster in napalm or a bug on the end of a FLAM-40 flamethrower can do.”
“As a reward for bravery on this battlefield,” they added, “Super Earth High Command has temporarily approved the free use of the EXO-49 Liberator Exosuit. Well fought Helldivers. Well fought!”
So, there you have it. While it may not be new gear, since there’s no indication of when the Liberator will return to its normal price, it’s definitely worth checking out to see if you can enjoy some free mech-powered bugs or robot attacks.
