Haven Studios website, which is developing a PS5 exclusive, reveals various artworks. Do they match the game or do they simply show the potential of the artists?
A few days after Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Haven Studios, we may have some concept art of the PS5 exclusively in development on hand.
A science fiction game?
At the time of writing, information about the Haven project is very scant if not non-existent, and we’re clinging to what we can. In this case, here are the images that appear on the studio’s official website and that can be seen in our gallery.
Without being categorical, we perceive a very modern/almost futuristic touch, reminiscent of a science fiction title. The theme of this exclusive PS5? Possible. But it can also be concept art to represent the overall vision of the developers, which is to create worlds for players to get lost in. Hard to say.
Haven: Sony, a natural choice?
As a reminder, this is exclusive to PlayStation 5 “AAA multiplayer experience with an ever-changing world focused on freedom, passion and excitement to keep players entertained for years to come.”. Given the description, it’s very likely that Sony has already validated a PC version. This would build a larger community and ensure the title has a long lifespan.
In an interview with Gameindustry, forwarded by PlayStationInsideJade Raymond, Founder and CEO of Haven, announced that Sony Interactive Entertainment was her first choice to work with and that what other studios had been able to tell her encouraged her in this idea.
It became clear that we cannot go on. Luckily, Google supported me in my desire to find a way out and allowed me to create mockups on my site, which I then presented to several investors. I’m also very pleased that PlayStation, who was our first choice, has agreed to come on board and support us. I spoke to several developers and they all told me that Sony was the company that best understood and supported the creative process, providing the studios with the support they needed while giving them the autonomy they needed.
. Of course it was very exciting to hear that.
Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, for his part, praised the developers’ ability to evolve quickly. It must be said that they are not beginners, and they are also former colleagues. Everyday work is easier to set up under such conditions.
