The latest Major Order of Helldivers 2 is something people are actually going to enjoy, at least in theory. Seriously, there’s a lot of stuff to kill, and if that wasn’t enough, a community manager at Arrowhead just reiterated that having fun on the menu is a “clear company goal” of the game.
The studio has also been relentless in implementing a 60-day change plan to help plan after the Freedom Upgrade debacle, with two patches already deployed in the past two days. Granted, one of them was a single fix pushed out in an emergency, but it was a lot of work.

One bug that still exists in Arrowhead’s hitlist is that Bile Titans sometimes fail to take head damage correctly, and some players think the latest Major Order may have a side goal of helping the developers gather more data to help eliminate that issue.
What does it take? Well, killing a whole bunch of giant Titans, five million of them to be exact. But that’s not all, a total of 750 million bugs need to be killed, and the Divers must take control of Esker, Estanu, and Pandion-XXIV before the order expires – which, as of this writing, is just over five days away. So far, approximately 800,000 Titans and 156 million Titans have died.
During this process, Arrowhead community manager Twinbeard has been answering questions about what actions the studio will take in response to player feedback in the above plan. One player asked if there would be better quality control measures in patches released within 60 days to prevent their deployment from causing other problems. In response, the community manager replied:
“The specific details of the ’60-day plan’ have not yet been finalized (although some work has already been done [of course] “We’ve already started, so it would be foolish or presumptuous for me to try to reveal everything. We do have some key areas where I think we’ll reveal more as we progress, but can’t say for sure. There’s no point in going into complete radio silence mode, but as to what we might reveal or when, I don’t know at th is point.”
In another post, they also reiterated the changes: “Fun is a top priority and will always be. If it wasn’t before, it is now an explicit company goal for HD2. Feedback must be heard. This is my personal opinion, but I think it’s also the opinion of executive management. I know feedback is both a hot topic and sometimes more complicated than it seems (compared to “you know what players want, just nerf less”), but we do hear you. Going forward, we want to show you that we are listening.”
