It’s been a long-cherished dream of Assassin’s Creed fans to send part of the series to feudal Japan. Well, at least in the form of a trailer in Unreal Engine 5, this has now happened.
Modifying games in such a way that you can guess how they might look in the new Unreal Engine 5 is currently extremely popular. A number of games have already been implemented in this way by modders and artists, such as Red Dead Redemption, GTA San Andreas, Skyrim or Cyberpunk 2077.
So far we have had to wait for Assassin’s Creed, but that too has now happened. Graphic design studio TeaserPlay has released a trailer on YouTube of what an Assassin’s Creed might look like in feudal Japan, and it certainly doesn’t look bad, although Ghost of Tsushima might already have spoiled you a bit:
