The announcement of Assassin’s Creed Infinity caused quite a stir, because for the first time in the history of the series, the term, which was unpopular with many players, was mentioned Live-Service
, which is often associated with Free2Play mechanisms and in-game shops. Series fans are correspondingly worried about the game, because they fear that it will differ significantly from its predecessors. Ubisoft has now commented on the plans for Infinity.

Ambitious plans, but no F2P
According to the website Videogameschronicle the French publisher was asked about Assasin’s Creed Infinity in a call with investors on the occasion of the business figures for the second half of the year. CEO Yves Guillemot then shattered one of the biggest concerns of many fans with clear words:
It won’t be Free2Play and the game will have a lot of narrative elements.
This clarification may reassure one or the other, but it does not yet answer how extensive the in-game purchases are in the game. Guillemot is also silent on this. He continues with another message to the fans:
It will be a very innovative game, but it will also have everything that players are already familiar with from the other Assassin’s Creed games, all of the elements they love, right from the start. It’s going to be a huge game with a lot of content that already exists in the games we’ve released in the past.
The game is currently being released for the year 2024 intended. So time enough for Ubisoft to watch the video of our editorial assassins. There they explain how Assassin’s Creed Infinity can and cannot be a success:

When will there be new information about Assassin’s Creed Infinity?
Despite these statements, it is still only vaguely known what kind of game Infinity will be. So it stands to reason that fans want specific information about the game world, the characters and more. But it will be a long time before the PR machinery starts up. Because according to Ubisoft’s Chief Financial Officer Frédérick Duguet, the title is still there at an early stage of development
Will these clarifications be enough to get Peter’s tortured fan heart beating again? That was broken by the announcement by Infinity, as he complains here:
