OWO Haptic Gaming and Ubisoft have teamed up for a special kind of cooperation for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage and want you to feel the game.
Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will be released in October and will be the first game in a cooperation between publisher Ubisoft and OWO, a manufacturer of haptic gaming accessories.
This collaboration consists of the OWO Haptic Gaming System and an exclusive ACM Edition skin that has a completely new design and mimics the main character’s outfit. The edition will initially be available on OWO’s official website and later sold through various retailers bundled with the game Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
In plain English: you wear a shirt that transmits various haptic signals to you. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will include several different sensations such as bumps and parkour. It should also offer some exclusive, unprecedented impressions. The whole thing apparently works platform-independent on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
“By leveraging OWO’s groundbreaking technologies and expertise, we are able to offer innovative and enhanced ways to immerse players in the world, sounds and feel of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. We can’t wait to see that our players will discover and enjoy the story of Basim’s coming of age with the power of OWO”, Fabian Salomon, Lead Producer at Ubisoft Bordeaux.
Based on the press release, it’s a broader partnership for Ubisoft titles, of which Assassin’s Creed: Mirage appears to be just the beginning. Further information on the function and implementation will follow soon.
