Around five years after the release, a new update for Assassin’s Creed Origins arrives. This is primarily aimed at owners of the new generation of consoles, but PC gamers can also expect a few improvements.
This is (probably) in update 1.6.0
First and foremost, patch 1.6.0 for AC Origins brings the ability to play the game at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, a new Franchise menu makes its way onto the main menu, like this official post
However, these improvements do not explain why update 1.60 weighs in at a whopping 2.9 GB on PC. Apparently numerous bug fixes are finding their way into the game after the previous patch caused a few problems. Performance and stability are also said to have been improved.
Detailed patch notes are not yet available. At least you can find the provisional download sizes here, with the data for the new generation of consoles to be submitted later:
- PC: around 2.9GB
- Xbox One: rund 3GB
- PlayStation 4: around 8.2GB
We’ll keep you posted and will update this message as more information and official patch notes become available.
