Assassin’s Creed Red is probably one of Ubisoft’s most anticipated titles. One has to admit that the game seems to tick a lot of boxes that players like, especially AC and… Japan!
As is the case with Ubisoft very often, if not every time, its games fall victim to leaks. This is a supposed first image of Assassin’s Creed Red, which also includes several pieces of information. This partially confirms certain rumors about the game that we were able to discover back in November 2023. What exactly can we find out? That’s all we know.
Assassin’s Creed Red is already the victim of a major leak!
A very first image of Assassin’s Creed Red has just been leaked. The source cannot yet be identified. But some sleuths have noticed that we can see a piece of a Ubisoft Romania badge on the right edge of the photo. Even if this could be a very successful photomontage, this possibility cannot be ruled out. All information should therefore be treated with caution.
For the rest, it is actually an image of a menu of this new episode in which we can see very clearly a selection of characters, confirming the presence of two protagonists, as we could have expected given the many rumors. We can clearly see the Select Character menu. There is no longer any doubt…
For the first time, the game would feature two protagonists:
- Naoe, an assassin who carries on the tradition of the Brotherhood in the rich historical and cultural context of Japan.
- A samurai warrior of African descent whose name has not yet been revealed.
But that’s not all, the image lets us know that the game (at the moment) runs at 30 FPS/1080p in Quality mode on Xbox Series X. Quite a program.
What do we currently know about the game?
In addition to the information confirmed today by a “stolen” photo, many rumors revolve around Assassin’s Creed Red. According to several reports, Assassin’s Creed Red’s world map would be larger than that of Valhalla, but less extensive than that of Odyssey. Additionally, the game would feature new and improved gameplay mechanics, including the use of grappling hooks, similar to those seen in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Ghost of Tsushima.
Other additions, such as the ability to camouflage yourself by lying down in tall grass or using the darkness to hide, would enrich the infiltration aspect. A spy system is also mentioned, as well as special equipment for the protagonists, such as kunai, shurikens, smoke bombs and bells. Finally, the game would take advantage of the capabilities of next-generation consoles and promise destructible environments and a visual improvement compared to previous titles in the saga.
