Despite the controversies that plague it, the gameplay portion of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is promising, especially with the return of a popular feature.
Brooke Davies, Associate Narrative Director of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, confirmed his presence in an interview with YouTuber JorRaptor. In between assassinations or brutal duels, Naoe and Yasuke will obviously have plenty of other jobs that don’t involve violence.
A little tenderness in feudal Japan of Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will present us its vision of feudal Japan on November 15. Unfortunately, some of Ubisoft’s choices clearly did not suit players’ tastes and caused a lot of controversy, especially with regard to the two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. This does not seem to have dismantled the French giant, which has strongly denounced it. The license also has a habit of taking very great liberties with history.
In addition to two completely different gameplays, our characters will also have a social life of their own, according to Brooke Davies of JorRaptor. Like Odyssey and Valhalla, they will actually be able to form friendships and even more affinity with the people we meet during our adventures. A feature that has been very successful with players and therefore logically returns in this new work. Both will thus be able to weave romances of all kinds. ” I think a unique aspect of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the fact that we have much more developed relationships than in previous games.
Odyssey had already implemented a romance system in a convincing way in the eyes of players, while Valhalla was a bit behind. Shadows will be closer to the opus, set in ancient Greece. Which is not surprising, since the development team is the same. However, you’ll have to wait until November 15 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series (for people still interested in the game) to see all of this in Ubisoft’s vision of feudal Japan.
