As expected, Ubisoft did not announce a new Assassin’s Creed at E3, but instead a lot of new content for the current Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
The focus of the presentation was the second big story extension to the successful title, which will be called “The Siege of Paris”. This should come in the course of summer 2021, but has no specific release date yet. The video below gives you some first gameplay insights into the new chapter.
“The Siege of Paris” will bring with it a new region, France, as well as the most important Viking battles and battles of conquest. Eivor embarks on new quests and has to forge new alliances in France. Fresh weapons, equipment, enemy types and skills are also on board. The black box infiltration missions are also returning with the DLC, which gives you full freedom to choose the best way to eliminate a specific target. The Story DLC is included in the Season Pass, but is also offered separately.
But that is far from over. In autumn of this year, the Discovery Tour known from the last offshoots will be made available to all owners of the main game. In this mode you can embark on an educational journey through the history and customs of the Vikings far away from any fighting and learn a lot. The learning mode was forged together with historians and archaeologists.
For the first time in the history of Assassin’s Creed, a part will also be supplied with fresh content in year 2 after the release. Further add-ons are already in the works and will be published in winter 2021 and 2022 respectively. These big DLC packs are paired with free events.
