Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Forgotten Myths Comic Book Prequel’s First Issue Launches March 16th 2022

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans have more to look forward to next year, as not only will there be the release of the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC releasing in early 2022 but also a new comic book series called Forgotten Myths with the first issue releasing March 16th 2022.

Published by Dark Horse, Forgotten Myths is a prequel to the upcoming DLC Dawn of Ragnarok. This series will follow Thor, Baldr and Heimdall as they discover trouble looming at the borders of Asgard. A fire is now encroaching the land of the Æsir. Baldr discovers that Muspels are now at the gates of Svartalfheim, and it’s their job to bring peace back to the realms.

The series is written by Alex Freed known for Dragon Age: The Silent Grove, with artist Martin Tunica who also worked on Song of Glory, coloured by Michael Atiyeh (Halo: Escalation) and lettered by Jimmy Betancourt (HYPER SCAPE). The covers are done by Rafael Sarmento who also did Strange Things: Tomb of Ybwen.

Previously Ubisoft revealed a new DLC will be heading to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla called Dawn of Ragnarok which will focus on Odin’s journey to rescue his son Baldr, traveling through the dwarven realm of Svaralfheim. Players will take on magical powers that they can gain from defeating enemies, with both Fire and Frost abilities.

Follow the adventure of Baldr, the valiant son of Odin, in this prequel to Dawn of Ragnarök. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Forgotten Myths #1 will be released on March 16, 2022.
