During its Q3 2022 investor conference call, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the most profitable entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise to date.

According to Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot, the game has surpassed $1 billion in revenue as of December 2021. This is the first game in the series to reach that revenue.

The game has been a huge hit since its release in 2020, selling more than any other Assassin’s Creed game in its first week on sale. It’s also the best-selling Ubisoft PC ever, driven by record Ubisoft Store sales.

Ubisoft also supports the game well with expansions, free content, and other modes. The company will continue to support the game this year, starting with the Ragnarok expansion pack on March 10.

Before Ragnarok, though, was the 1.5.0 update on February 22, with a free trial coming soon. It will be held from February 24th to 28th. So if you’ve been on the fence about this game, you’ll have a chance to try it out before you buy it.

As far as the future of the series goes, a new Assassin’s Creed game is said to be in the works, and it will star Valhalla’s Bassim. It is said that the game was originally intended to be released as an expansion pack and is expected to be released later this year or in 2023. It is said that the game will not be a large open world game, but will be smaller in scope and focus on stealth games.

The next mainline entry in the series, Assassin’s Creed Infinite, is currently in early development at Ubisoft’s Montreal and Quebec studios. Jonathan Dumont and Clint Hocking are the game’s creative directors. While Ubisoft has yet to provide the game with additional colors, reports suggest the game will feature multiple timelines, and it will be an evolving online experience as the world expands and changes over time.
