After major problems occurred with the last title updates, Ubisoft now apparently wants to take a little more time for updates – and explains pretty precisely why.
The last title updates for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla weren’t really going well. With the last update for the Eastre event, a number of features had to be temporarily deactivated because they caused the game to crash. Now Ubisoft has turned into one DevBlog generally expressed on the subject of updates.
Accordingly, Ubisoft has now adapted and optimized processes and tools for upcoming updates. In addition, the publication cycle will be changed from every four to every five weeks in the future to simply ensure more time for tests and optimizations so that such glitches do not happen again – or at least not to the same extent. Hence the postponement of the Title Update 1.2.1 to April 27th, as well as the upcoming DLC Wrath of the Druids to May 13th.
Apart from that, Ubisoft takes the time in the DevBlog to explain the update process in general in order to increase the understanding of the players a little. Finally, there is also a roadmap of the upcoming content, so that you already have an idea of when and which updates can be expected. In addition to the aforementioned update and DLC, another Title Update 1.2.2 and a new free game mode called Master Challenge will be scheduled for late spring.
