Last year Assetto Corsa Competizione was released for the PC, now the racing game should also cause a sensation on consoles.
Like the original Assetto Corsa, the much more up-to-date Assetto Corsa Competizione now makes the leap to consoles. The title was previously only available for the PC, but in a press release, publishers 505 Games and developer Kunos Simulazioni have now confirmed plans to launch an implementation for PS4 and Xbox One.
There is already a specific release date for precisely those game versions: From June 23, 2020 you will be able to purchase the racing game for the current home consoles from Sony and Microsoft. In addition to a digital version, there will also be a classic retail version at a price of 39.99 euros.
Pre-orderers benefit – as is common today – as a bonus there is free access to the recently released DLC "Intercontinental GT Pack", which extends the gaming experience with the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli. Th is additional content can also be bought in the summer at the regular price of 14.99 euros, should you not be able to pre-order the console version.
Incidentally, the main game tries to capture the real atmosphere of the GT3 Championship and make it tangible. The corresponding racetracks have been reproduced precisely and the official drivers, teams and vehicles are on board. There are different game modes in both the single player and multiplayer parts. Technically, the title is based on the Unreal Engine 4.
As far as the PC version is concerned, the free version 1.4 update will be released in April, which will bring new features, including the vehicle showroom, new customization options for drivers and vehicles, and new options for multiplayer servers. In summer the chargeable DLC "GT4 Pack" with more than ten new GT4 vehicles follows, in winter the chargeable additional content "British Pack" with three new race tracks, which should complete the racing calendar for seven races of the British GT Championship.
