Assetto Corsa has won the hearts of racing simulation fans over the years and they are looking forward to the next part of the series. And he now has an appointment.
Assetto Corsa EVO is the name of the next offshoot of the racing simulation series and is probably already making fans’ hearts beat faster. It’s certainly nice that there is now a first date for the game. Assetto Corsa is scheduled to go into early access on Steam on January 16, 2025. Developer KUNOS Simulazioni and publisher 505 Games have now officially announced this.
The developers were a bit lazy, however, because apart from a trailer, there is currently no information about what exactly awaits you in the first step of early access or for what period it is planned. The question is currently open as to whether and when a console version will follow – the predecessor at least received its console spin-offs after the PC launch in 2019. But there will certainly be more information to come in the next few months.
Assetto Corsa EVO is said to represent a significant step forward for the series due, among other things, to a new graphics engine. Like its predecessor, Assetto Corsa EVO will include cars of different classes covering years of automotive history: road cars, classics, hypercars, prototypes and racing cars.
As usual, the developers attach immense importance to realism. The description states: “EVO is characterized by the meticulous attention paid to each vehicle. Each vehicle is simulated using a sophisticated system that accurately replicates mechanical, electronic and aerodynamic performance. This level of detail ensures an even more authentic and immersive driving experience “In addition, thanks to laser scanning technology, the race tracks are reproduced with extreme accuracy, combined with an advanced system that realistically simulates dynamic weather and asphalt conditions, allowing the driver to have an even more immersive driving experience.”
Well then, put it on your calendar and oil your steering wheel in time.
