After the Beat ’em all announced Old School Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a few days ago, another license from the comic book world that had the right game of the Konami style in the 90s will soon be back with … a game, that’s the old one. This time it’s about Gauls. And that on all levels.

Microids just announced the release next fall Astrix and Oblix: Beat them all! A new game that, as the name suggests, was inspired by the famous work of Goscinny and Uderzo. And this time it’s not about a title in 3D, but a Beat’em in 2D with graphics that want to be as true to the original comic as possible.
This new title, which makes it possible to embody Astrix and Oblix and play two in collaboration, is produced by the French at Mr. Nutz Studio, composed of Pierre Adane and Philippe Dessoly, to whom we owe the classic Mr. Nutz. For the sake of fidelity, the studio created the game’s characters, backgrounds and animations “by hand”.

Astrix and Oblix: Beat them all! is planned for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC / MAC for next fall. Of course, the game will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S compatible. Microids promises to release more information about the game in the coming months.
