The Spanish indie game Cataclismo has launched into Early Access and has so far convinced 94 percent of players on Steam with castle building like Lego. In addition, like in Stronghold, you have to take care of the economy in order to then fend off hordes of enemies at night with your few soldiers. Despite all the praise, Cataclismo also has weaknesses, as you can read in our Early Access test. The variety of units in particular leaves something to be desired. There is also no automatic system for structures destroyed at night. Because while working out strong or pretty structures is fun, repeatedly repairing them is not necessarily so. In five minutes we will show you the typical gameplay at the beginning of a scenario or endless game. The campaign missions, on the other hand, are more guided and less demanding. In addition, the special style of the game comes across better in the narrative sequences of the campaign than in the other game modes.
