The Venn diagram of Magic the Gathering fans and Baldur’s Gate 3 fans might want to take a look at the very exciting and potentially exciting Astarion card.

Astarion is no stranger to Magic the Gathering, having appeared on a few cards before, but Wizards of the Coast has just revealed (via Polygon) a new Secret Lair set that features your favorite vampires on various cards with gorgeous full art. The five cards are part of Dungeons & Dragons’ 50th anniversary celebration, and there are more Secret Lair sets coming soon, although those sets have not yet been revealed. The five cards include Mortify, Anguished Unmaking, Sanguine Blood, Exquisite Blood, and of course, Astarion, the Decadent. Honestly, each one is bolder than the last, but it’s clear that every artist involved knew exactly what they were doing.

These cards, along with four other Secret Lair cards, will go on sale at the end of the month (August 27). Each card will cost $29.99 (yes, that’s a lot of money for a handful of cards), and if you want the shiny foil versions of the same cards, you’ll have to pay $39.99 per set. Those unfamiliar with Secret Lair might be shocked at how much Wizards of the Coast is charging for one-twelfth of a Magic card, but what can you do? Not buy these limited-time cards? If you miss out, you’ll have to pay a higher price on the secondary market.

Wizards of the Coast has made a lot of pop culture-related products through Secret Lair over the years, such as Fallout-themed sets, as well as Assassin’s Creed, Doctor Who, and even Hatsune Miku. These products are in limited supply, though, so be sure to set a reminder if you’re interested.
