In December 2022, Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to the highest-grossing film ever released, was released. Nevertheless, the footsteps are not too big: Avatar 2 is already less than a month after its release one of the highest grossing films of all time. Only ten titles have brought in more money to date.

Bad starting conditions- Avatar 2 started very successfully at the end of the year on December 14, 2022 in cinemas. The first release weeks were not under a good star. Both Christmas and New Year’s fell on a weekend in 2022, slowing down the busiest days of the week. Another stumbling block for the film’s rapid success is its running time of 192 minutes and the resulting reduced number of performances. And yet, in less than a month, Avatar 2 breaks record after record.
