Every summer – even without E3 – the biggest video game publishers take the opportunity to present their upcoming projects or present new images of already announced games. In this article we are interested in the second case.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a game set in James Cameron’s universe and based on the film series of the same name. It’s one of those titles that we’ve been waiting for for a very long time, namely 2017. Only since his announcement he has remained stingy with information. All we know is that the software will be an open-world action game in which the player takes control of the Na’vi in a yet-uncharted region of Pandora. A release was initially announced between April 2022 and March 2023, but the release on PS5, PC and Xbox Series is eventually pushed back to 2024. “We want Avatar to be a brand in the video game industry. Cyberpunk: Phantom Freedom
Phantom Liberty is the DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt recently announced that it will be presented at Summer Game Fest and specifically during “Play Days”, an event reserved for media and influencers. Rise of the Ronin
Rise of the Ronin is a title developed by Team Ninja, set during the Boshin War in mid-19th century Japan. “Japan faces its darkest times as it struggles against its oppressive rulers and deadly diseases while Western influence permeates as the civil war between the Tokugawa shogunate and anti-shogunate factions rages on,” we read on PlayStation Blog . Development of Rise of the Ronin began in 2015 but was only announced last year. It is very likely that we can learn more during this edition of Summer Game Fest as it is expected on PS5 in 2024.

Silksong is a real Arlesian among video games that has been waiting for us since 2019. It is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Hollow Knight and is being developed by Studio Team Cherry. The title was originally announced at the Xbox 2022 conference, which was only supposed to feature games “expected within the next 12 months,” but was then postponed. “We had planned to release the game in the first half of 2023, but development is not over yet. Starfield is one of the most anticipated games of the year and that’s a good thing, Xbox should reserve part of its showcase for this title. The scenario takes us to the stars as we follow an explorer in search of the most valuable artifacts in the universe. On Steam, the project is described as “Bethesda Game Studios’ largest and most ambitious to date.” The studio has been trying to create a game set in outer space for more than 30 years, but their plans were canceled again. This seems the right time. Since 2013 and the launch of the Starfield brand, Gamers are impatient waiting for the software to release on September 6th, 2023 on Xbox Series and PC. I hope the launch isn’t as complicated as Redfall’s.
Star Wars Eclipse
We still know very little about Star Wars Eclipse. The future game from the Star Wars universe developed by Quantic Dream has only revealed its plot and a trailer. The story is set to take place in the golden age of the Jedi and introduce us to a new race: the Zaraan. One of the main characters is named Sarah, and it is possible that her husband is one of the antagonists.
