AVM has introduced a new WLAN router, the FRITZ!Box 4050. The design is particularly special for this price range.
The company AVM has introduced a new router: With the FRITZ!Box 4050, the manufacturer promises a compact and efficient WLAN router – and the latest technology at an affordable price.
The new FRITZ!Box 4050 supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard with up to 2,400 Mbit/s at 5 GHz and up to 600 Mbit/s at 2.4 GHz. According to the manufacturer’s website, this means you can achieve speeds that are up to 40 percent higher than with older Wi-Fi generations.
More performance than the AVM FRITZ!Box 4040 and improved mesh technology
The predecessor of the FRITZ!Box 4050, the AVM FRITZ!Box 4040, supports Wi-Fi 5 with speeds of up to 866 Mbit/s (5 GHz) and 400 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz). With its improvements, the new FRITZ!Box 4050 offers significantly more performance and is therefore closer to the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber.
AVM promises that the new FRITZ!Box 4050 is equipped with innovative mesh technology. This means that you can ensure that there is optimal Internet connectivity in every corner of your home even more easily. In addition, according to the manufacturer, the FRITZ!Box 4050 can be easily connected to a fiber optic modem – but the FRITZ!Box 4040 could already do that.
The new FRITZ!Box 40 series in premium design is now available
The AVM FRITZ!Box 4050 is now available. It is the first 40-box in the red and white design, which is usually reserved for the higher-priced models. It costs 139 dollars and is therefore almost 45 dollars cheaper than the comparable model, the FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber, which costs 184.99 dollars. You can buy the AVM FRITZ!Box 4050 at Media Markt and Saturn. The following links will take you to the retailer’s websites.
