Hardly any game has flopped as mercilessly this year as Babylon’s Fall. But that doesn’t stop Square Enix from launching the second season soon – along with a roadmap for the rest of the year.
Is it a denial of reality or the hope of turning a flop into a success after all? One does not know. What is certain, however, is that Square Enix has not yet given up breathing life into Babylon’s Fall with new content. A game that was last played by only one person. And indeed, new content will continue to be produced and on May 31st the second season entitled “The Light of Aaru” will actually start and there is a new roadmap for the following months.
But there is one small change: if Season 2 was originally planned to end in August, it will now last longer and will last until November 29th. The reason is that the developers want to take their time until the third season to reconsider the planned future operation of the game and work on the next update.
However, the new season includes a new chapter. A Kuftaali VIP visits the Guardian HQ. With new orders, the Guardians head to the ziggurat, where they are confronted with a new truth. During Season 2, a total of 80 new quests will be added to Skirmishes, Sieges and Duels. With the Season 2 Battle Pass, you can also get more than 100 rewards, including Assassin’s Attire. With the pistol as a weapon type and sun as an element, more combat options are also added.
