The promising Babylon’s case still has no specific release date, but at least it is now clear when the first beta test phase will start.
Those who registered early for Babylon’s case may soon get the chance to take part in an initial beta test phase. Platinum Games has now made more specific statements in this regard, including an exact start date for the closed beta.
The first phase should therefore initially be handled exclusively via Steam. In the second phase of the test, the beta will then also reach the PS4, before the PlayStation 5 will also be supplied in phase 3.
The first thing that Japanese players will do is get their hands on the beta. It starts this week on July 29th. In North America, things will continue in a week on August 5th, before European gamers will be the last to start in the closed beta. Here, too, the chosen ones have to be patient for another week: The EU start is scheduled for August 12 at 7:00 p.m. German time. You can then play until 11 p.m. on that day.
Those who have registered for the test phase will receive an invitation based on the region registered in their Square Enix account. The focus of the first test phase is on fundamental aspects such as the download and installation of the client, the registration and authentication of the account as well as the performance of the server and the network. This is one of the reasons why the actual game content will still be limited at the beginning. In the further course of the various planned test phases, however, additional content will gradually be activated.
