Backbone announces a very limited collector’s item and a crazy collaboration with a big star for its new controller for smartphones. Note for amateurs: you’ll have to be very quick to take advantage of it, though.
Backbone celebrates the release of his brand new gaming accessory for smartphones with a high-end collaboration. He is a major rap star who lent his style to the brand and released an extremely limited edition of the latest Backbone One.
The new Backbone One is perfect for gaming on your smartphone
The Backbone One is an accessory designed for those who play on the PS5 with their smartphone and in particular through cloud gaming services or, for example, Remote Play. For $120 (recommended launch price), the Backbone One allows you to enjoy your games in conditions very close to those of a home console.
The handling is almost identical and although it obviously does not have all the features of a DualSense 5, the Backbone One is perfectly tuned to be used with all current games via Remote Play and will work perfectly for most mobile games played. The accessory is available as an Xbox or PlayStation version and is compatible with iOS (including the latest iPhone 15) but also Android. Most smartphones are therefore compatible as long as they have a USB-C port, which is essential for using the controller.
A huge collaboration for an extremely limited collector’s edition
Backbone was not exactly proud of his new baby and decided to create an event by signing an extremely limited deluxe edition of his accessory. It is the hyperstar Post Malone, a US rapper with worldwide success, known for his songs like Seen or Rock Star and his many collaborations with other celebrities. That’s why today they are collaborating with Backbone to launch Backbone One and are offering a signature edition of only 500 copies.
A Backbone One for ultra collectors, the price of which is not yet known. We will find out more this evening at 6 p.m., the official launch of the accessory. Registration is currently only possible on the waiting list official page. Of course, you not only have to act quickly, but also keep your fingers crossed to take advantage of your opportunity.
The controller comes in a collector’s box numbered in the artist’s colors and its black or white casing is replaced by a bright green and semi-transparent plastic casing. Pretty classy.
