The horror film “Bagman” by director Colm McCarthy opens in German cinemas on December 5th. The main cast includes Sam Claflin, Antonia Thomas, Caréll Vincent Rhoden and Sharon D. Clarke. The film promises plenty of suspense and shock moments, so some viewers will probably save the experience for at home. But when will the home cinema premiere take place?
When does “Bagman” start in the home cinema?
Given the cinema release is still imminent, a home cinema premiere will probably be a while away. Cinema titles usually appear in home cinemas after around three to four months – depending on the success of the cinema, sometimes earlier. Expect availability until further notice March or April 2025. Like most movies, “Bagman” will likely have its home cinema premiere on platforms like Amazon Prime Video. The film will probably initially be available there as video-on-demand (VoD), before it ends up in a provider's streaming subscription.
Which streaming service has a subscription to “Bagman”?
The film is distributed in this country by Leonine Studios. In the past, many of this studio's films were available on Amazon Prime Video. Leonine Studios is now also distributing through other channels, so at this point it still seems unclear which streaming service “Bagman” will ultimately be recorded on.
There is also no concrete information yet regarding the start of streaming. It usually takes up to a year before the films are available in the provider's streaming subscription. We expect a stream release in the second half of 2025 at the earliest.

Collectors also have to be patient. The DVD and Blu-ray are usually released after three to four months. The silver piece is expected to be available in stores in March or April 2025.
