Baldur’s Gate 3 still holds many secrets, you haven’t seen anything

Baldurs, GATE, havent, Holds, Secrets

We knew Larian’s work on Baldur’s Gate 3 was monumental in scope, but the discovery of well-hidden secrets really proves just how much.

As with many RPGs with such strong narratives, many elements dreamed up for Baldur’s Gate 3 may never have seen the light of day. This is especially true of fully voiced cutscenes, which cannot be activated in the game in the first place, at least not without dealing with the gigantic innards.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is not impossible

With its truly sprawling, branching story, Baldur’s Gate 3 is now one of the most complex narrative RPGs in history, and at the very least awaits a Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which promises to be monumental in that area. However, many elements actually created by Larian were ultimately set aside for the final version of the game.

However, a YouTuber has set out to do justice to these well-hidden secrets of Baldur’s Gate 3. In the game’s code, many fully rendered cutscenes are marked as “impossible” to trigger. However, if we remove this code, we can see what they are in the game. Between a Karlach breaking the fourth wall or various interactions between the Origin characters and our avatar and much more, the 15-minute video below offers us a new overview of the gigantic work of Larian on the absolute GOTY 2023.

However, we bet that this is just a visible part of a huge iceberg. As for The Witcher 3 in particular, it is likely that more hidden content of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be discovered once the community has been entrusted with full support for mods and access to all the game’s assets. To achieve this, we will see you in September for Patch 7, which promises to be truly massive in more ways than one. It also marks the end of the major updates from Larian, which is already working, this time completely independently, on two new games that we are of course watching very closely.
