The release of Battlefield 2042 is approaching in leaps and bounds. If you are still undecided whether you should get the shooter, under certain circumstances you still have the opportunity to try the game before the release.
EA Play Pro subscribers and pre-orderers of the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Battlefield 2042 are already having a good time, because they can get started a week before the official release of the game.
But now there is another possibility to get an insight before the release, even without having pre-ordered the game. EA Play and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get their first chance to play from November 12th. The only catch: the playing time is limited to a maximum of ten hours. But at least better than nothing and certainly a decision-making aid, should you still be undecided whether the new offshoot is something for you. However, if you want to continue playing after the ten hours, a purchase is inevitable.
However, quite a few players have already used the beta phase to gather impressions of the game. As EA and DICE announced, a total of 7.7 million players took part in the Battlefield Beta, including 3.1 million in the Early Access phase of the October Beta. This makes the beta the most successful Electronic Arts early access event to date.
Parallel to the announcement, there was also a new trailer that presented the Battlefield Portal in more detail. Portal gives you the ability to create game modes and matches based on maps and options from previous games.
