Battlefield 2042 got the first day patch, but it did not solve the biggest problem of the game

Battlefield, biggest, day, game, patch, problem, solve

DICE has launched a new update Battlefield 2042 this week. After one hour of maintenance, the server was offline during this period.

This is actually the first “post-launch” patch for the game, following the Early Access release last Friday. This update prepares the standard version of “Battlefield 2042” to be released globally today-the game is expected to attract the largest audience by then.

DICE shared the complete patch notes before the release. Needless to say, considering the numerous problems that currently exist in the game, the fix is disappointing. Although many patch notes are related to dangerous areas, there are generally some welcome fixes for the rest of the game.

The patch implements server-side adjustments to reduce rubber bands. DICE has been working hard to determine the cause/fix for several days. When the silo is destroyed, the lag on the map should no longer occur.

The name tags of teammates that are not displayed will now always be displayed. The remaining notes solve minor problems (see the full list below).

Although disappointing, the good news is that Battlefield 2042 will receive two larger patches in the next 30 days, which is before the end of the year. No date has been given for either of the two patches, but the first should include various fixes to issues reported during early access. The other will be a larger “more substantial” update.

  • Implemented server-side upgrades aimed at reducing rubber band incidents, usually encountered late in the round of total war mode.
  • Significantly reduce stuttering when playing on Breakaway. If the island is destroyed, it should no longer degrade the performance of the server.
  • When viewing allies in your team, their names will now be displayed correctly.
  • At the end of the round, Falck’s animation was adjusted to ensure she was displayed correctly.
  • The skin that Boris can obtain through the Mastery Process has been updated with a new name: Crocodile.
  • Make sure that the TDM round in the battlefield portal always starts with a random deployment set as an event. We have observed that this is sometimes inactive when moving round after round, but this problem has now been resolved.
  • A series of measures have been applied to ensure that the correct amount of AI is generated in the custom battlefield portal mode using the “free for all” preset.
  • PC only-Enable expert selection in hazardous areas through mouse interaction, no need to use the space bar to lock your selection.
  • Fixed a rare event in the danger zone, which sometimes caused it to fail to activate correctly at the end of the round, ensuring the correct amount of extra experience points were obtained.
  • Fixed an issue found in dangerous areas that could cause players to be displayed on the map when they are not visible or found.
  • A fix was provided for players in the danger zone who did not see their extraction stripes update correctly.

So far, our performance in “Battlefield 2042” is not the best. Dorrani and I sat down to share our first impressions of the game and delved into all the problems, missing features and other frustrations we encountered.

If you jump this weekend, it’s best to pay attention to some major obstacles, such as random bullet deviations that make it difficult to shoot, some experts’ collision boxes are not aligned, misleading weapon customization screens, and strange malfunctions.
