Gaming News Battlefield 2042: Microtransactions as a boost for the Electronic Arts game?
EA’s FPS hasn’t spoken its last word yet. Faced with a more than complicated launch and a turnout that clearly doesn’t live up to expectations, Battlefield 2042 is doing everything it can to correct its course… and that could go through the microtransaction box.
Something new for Battlefield 2042 soon?
Unfortunately, Battlefield 2042 will be released in November 2021 and unfortunately behaves like an ugly duckling at Electronic Arts: the publisher has expressed its disappointment with the title several times, which is obviously not up to the high spheres of the company. The game is still very effective and above all tries to catch up with important correction updates: Patch 4.0 made special use of the heavy artillery with no less than 400 bugs and optimizations removed.
So what will DICE do to refine the experience in the future? According to a dataminer (whose job is to dig into a game’s files to uncover its secrets) who has been looking into the 4.0 update, the company was working on… microtransactions. Indeed, clear and obvious traces of an online shop with supporting images were discovered.
This old version of the Soldier cosmetic tile for the shop menu was part of the #Battlefield2042 technical playtest client.

Microtransactions and cosmetic bonuses for the program
According to these elements, EA would therefore plan to include microtransactions in its flagship FPS: an effective way to build community loyalty while engaging players. In order to do this, Cosmetic elements would thus be provided for soldiers, weapons and vehicles; XP boosts would also be included.
Players would thus have the opportunity to buy virtual currency, and what’s more, even the prices would be found in the game files
These are the five currency packs in the files. There is no actual data on prices.
COD uses similar values ββfor packets. The pricing structure over there (PS/Xbox Store):
