One of the biggest shooters this fall is sure to be Battlefield 2042. To get in the mood for the potential hit, there should now be a prequel short film in advance.
DICE has announced another appetizer for Battlefield 2042, but is apparently not ready to show further gameplay. Instead, a short teaser has now been released for an approaching short film about the game, which will serve as a prequel for the story and the setting.
The short film set in the fictional world of the game is called “Exodus” and will focus on the so-called No-Pats (Non-Patriated), which represent important armed forces in the world of 2042. These can work with either the US forces or Russia to secure a seat at the table when the war is over.
“Exodus” will celebrate its premiere on Thursday, August 12th at 5:00 pm German time. In preparation, in addition to the teaser below, from tomorrow there will also be various insights into places from the game that will be presented to you through the eyes of journalist Kayvan Bechir starting tomorrow. In this way, DICE wants to introduce the game world in more detail and thus ensure a basic framework of background stories before the actual release.
Battlefield 2042 is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S on October 22nd.
