After initial difficulties and rework, DICE has finally announced the long-awaited first season of Battlefield 2042. The starting signal will be given this week.
Shooter fans who remain loyal to Battlefield 2042 despite all the difficulties will get fresh material this week. On June 9th, the first season called “Zero Hour” begins in the game, as developer DICE officially confirmed today.
In line with the announcement, DICE showed a fresh trailer, which you can watch below, which focuses on the new game content. The highlight of the clip is the new map Exposure, which is set in Canada and borrows from Battlefield 3’s Damavand Peak.
With Ewelina Lis there is a new specialist with a rocket launcher, which fires a TV rocket that you can control during flight. Two new vehicles (Stealth Helicopter) and two new weapons (Crossbow and AS Val) are also available and can be unlocked as part of the 100-level Battle Pass.
In preparation for the new season, Battlefield 2042 also received a version 1.0.0 patch today, which includes netcode optimizations, balancing improvements, smoother animations, map changes, and rebalanced specialists.
