Battlefield 2042 will continue even after the end of the seasons. EA has now announced in detail what content you can expect in the future.
It has been clear for some time that the shooter Battlefield 2042 will end after the current Season 7 and that no more classic seasons will follow. However, the DICE shooter has by no means reached the end of the content, as the developer studio and publisher Electronic Arts clearly emphasized again today in a new blog post. In this, the future and the planned content are discussed in more detail.
You can expect further content and game improvements in the future; there will also be portal highlights, Friday Night Battlefield sessions and more.
In terms of events, there will be both returning and new events. The first event to be launched in July will be the return of the previous Leviathan Rise event and its associated rewards. New events will be introduced regularly in Battlefield 2042 over a period of four weeks. There will also be new ways to play, an event pass with free and premium tiers, new cosmetic items and more. The first brand new event is planned for Halloween; more details will follow shortly.
You will also have the opportunity to try out and unlock Portal content in All-Out Warfare in moments lasting several weeks. Vault drops will start later this year with a vehicle from Portal.
Last but not least, there is the Community Calendar with weekly playlists and featured experiences, which is updated regularly. There you will also find information about upcoming updates, weekly missions and new cosmetic bundles.
